Glide Cruisers, USA was established in fall 2008 by founder and veteran entrepreneur Christopher Wiggins. Inspired as a hobby project in 2007, Wiggins developed concept drawings for an electric drive stand-up cycle (electric cruiser). Following extensive research & development, two initial prototypes were made and evaluated. After substantial field testing, additional improvements evolved through advancements in the frame engineering, electronics optimization and components selection. The resulting electric cruiser was the culmination of everything we hoped for. It is really easy to ride and far more fun than we ever expected! Our new electric cruiser is longer than a typical scooter (6’ wheelbase), stronger, faster and more stable than anything found in the market today.
After completing the manufacturing setup in early 2010, we are now poised to launch the company and introduce our new products and accessories to the public in spring 2010.
